Both Ben Bolton and Nick Jacobs bowled well but with no reward.
In reply Galleywood go off to a slow start only scoring 60 from the first 23 overs and losing four wickets, Steve Adams scoring 23. This brought Matt Cockrell and Craig Singleton together which saw a steady increase in the scoring rate until Singleton was caught bowled by Will Tuckwood. Although Cockrell continued with some bit hitting, the momentum could not be sustained as wickets fell regularly, Cockrell was bowled by Polka for 48 with Galleywood finishing on 185 for 9. Polka was the pick of the Writtle bowlers finishing with 3 for 28 and a very tight spell from Paul Haxell with 1 for 12 from 10 overs. Man of the Match Buttress for his 105 not out.
