A summary of last weekend's senior cricket action:
The 1st XI opened their Division 2 campaign by beating Eastwood by 4 wickets. Tom Nurcombe the top scorer for Galleywood with brilliantly made 56 in 83 balls alongside a quick fire 37* in 28 balls from skipper Rayner. 3-18 in 5.4 overs from Storey aided Galleywood in restricting Eastwood to only 152.
The 2nd XI started Division 6 with a win over Ingatestone by 7 wickets. 96 from Josh McFaull, 60 from captain Swann and a 44* from Jack Good saw the 2s chase down the 245 total.
2nd XI vs Ingatestone Scorecard
The 3rd XI lost their Division 10 match against Chelmsford Super Kings. Scores of 104 and 62* in the CSK team gave the 3s a big chase. A 40 from Dan Howard and 22 apiece from Steve Adams and Matt Howard (not out) being the highlights.
On Sunday, the 2nd XI had a friendly against Hatfield Peverel. Losing by only 14 runs in the end. Top scorer was Ekansh Boddu with a 39.
