OPEN AGE-GROUP CRICKET. PARENT AUTHORISATION

General information regarding duty of care towards children and young people playing open age-group cricket. Open age-group cricket can be enjoyed by any child classed as U13 and older.

·Captains are responsible for children and young players in their care during matches.

·All communications prior to the match are with the parent/carer of the child/young players any direct communication must have the consent of the parent/carer and they should be copied into all correspondence.

·Please ensure the child or young player is aware of the policies within the Galleywood CC constitution (http://galleywoodcc.play-cricket.com/website/articles/14393) adhering to all Club and ECB policies, The Changing room policy and Transport policies particularly important. I draw your attention to “MOBILE PHONES MUST NOT BE USED IN CHANGING ROOMS”.

·The changing room policy states that adults must not change or shower at the same time using the same facilities as children and young players.

·In most cases the children and young adults will need to use the same facility as the adults, please be aware that at the child/young player can use a shared facility with the time segregation applied.

·It is strongly recommended that any children (U16) arrive at the match already changed into their whites, however, if this is not possible they should change at a nominated time.

·Any concerns for the welfare of any players contact:
